Roxie is an 8-9 month old female that is looking for her forever home. She is crate trained, gets along great with other pets, and loves children however she might have a little too much energy for small children. She is current on vaccines and preventions and scheduled for her spay on May 5th.  She has such a wonderful personality and we are sure she will win you over just as she has done with all of SAFE's volunteers.  Roxie is deaf, however this does not prevent her from anything, she responds really well to hand signals and reward training.  If you are interested in meeting her please email safesocietyoffl@hotmail.com

or visit www.safesocietyoffl.com

THIS IS AN OWNER SURRENDER- LUKE IS NOT IN FOSTER CARE HE IS WITH HIS FAMILY WHO IS LOOKING FOR A HOME FOR HIM A little bit about ME: Hi, my name is Luke. I’m an 80 pound big boy American Bulldog/mix and I love to play. I’m already potty trained so I won’t be using the bathroom inside. I am one of a kind, can not be duplicated (neutered) LOL! I love long walks, which don’t necessarily have to be on the beach! I have a lot of spirit and love to play. Throw me a toy and I’ll go at it for a while, but don’t be shy because it’s better when you’re involved too. I get along well with kids and other dogs. I’m looking for a home with nice people that have time to play with me and take me out for walks. I’ll watch your kids and keep you warm at night. I'm just a big puppy =) please contact Kendra at: KRICE77@yahoo.com

*Luke is current on all vaccines/rabies and is neutered*

'I have such a soft spot for the seniors. You can't imagine how many people take a senior to the
pound and just leave them there. All they want is a comfortable place to live out their days.
Can you find it in your heart to love a senior dog today?' ~Ashlie

BELLA & YUM YUM

"Bella and Yum Yum are beautiful senior dogs. Both are approximately 9 years
old, Bella is deaf, they are both housebroken. They have spent the last
year and a half in a shelter environment and are now in a foster home. Yum
Yum is the brown one, Bella is the brindle.

Yum Yum is the sillier one; she loves to play and roll around in the grass
and have her tummy scratched. Bella is very affectionate and loves being
around people and being scratched behind her ears and they both love a good
massage. They both ride very quietly in the car and do not require a lot of
exercise or activity. They are just looking for someone to give them some
comfort and affection in their final years. They both walk very nicely on
the leash, and can easily be walked together. They love children. Yum Yum
loves a brisk walk and helps Bella exercise. Bella tries hard to keep up,
and really enjoys going for walks too, but she's a little slower. Yum Yum
has been Bella's constant companion for many years and they must be adopted
together. If you are looking to adopt two dogs, who would fit perfectly
into a very laid back lifestyle, you should definitely consider meeting
them. You'll fall in love with them both.
To meet them please contact their
foster mom at 239-980-4355. Adoption will be processed thru Gulf Coast
       Humane Society. Thank you!!!

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS PRETTY GAL HAS BEEN IN RESCUE FOR 2 YEARS???

Ellie May

"Hey, wanna play?  I’m a high-energy boxer-mix and the couch-potato life is not for me.  I love to run and jump and play!  One of my foster moms used to ride her bike and let me run alongside her.  It was so much fun!

I am great at listening, but I need a strong leader.  I'm so eager to play I get distracted, and also I've been bounced around so much I really need to know someone is in charge.  I like other dogs ok, but I really love the idea of being with my human as the special dog of the house.
I don't need to be crated if I'm the only dog in the house.  I'm not some silly puppy, I'm 3 years old and I know things!  (And I don't chew-up stuff.)  I know how to sit, shake, lie down, and I'm getting really good at stay, but I've heard there are classes where a dog can learn even more.  I'd love to go school!  I have one quirk though: thunderstorms scare me.  I just can't help it, and when the thunder booms, you'll find me under the nearest bed or table that is closest to you.

All in all I’m very spunky and cheerful, so if you are too I hope you'll come and meet me! "

This is Bear, he is a beautiful Pit Bull Terrier mix. Pictures do not do this boy justice! He is a unique brindle that looks brown in some lights, but blue (gray) in others. He has awesome eyes too, they are gold. He is two years old. His owner had to move and said he could not take Bear with him. Poor Bear, all he wants now is another forever home where he can lay in the sun and play with his toys. Bear listens great to basic commands such as come, sit, stay, and lay down. He is very large (80lbs) and powerful and therefore I would not recommend him with small children.  Breed experience is a plus!

Bear is very well behaved and does great with the American bull dog and four chihuahuas that he currently lives with. He likes to play, but he is very calm and content to lie on the couch beside you and snuggle.

Bear is neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and he has been started on heartworm and flea preventative. His adoption donation is $150.00.
